“After receiving my car from the dealership the engine light came on so I contacted them about it and he hooked it up tp machine told me to watch for the light again and let him know. I dont drive my car much so it was about a week later when I noticed the engine light again so I took it to oreilley's and the code p2096 which is fuel to ratio which has been a problem more then I can count. My car always smells like gas fumes that's why I try not to drive it unless I can keeps windows down because the smell is very strong. …”

NHTSA complaint #11389421, filed 2021-01, 84,000 miles

“I was driving down the highway when my car made a loud noise and jerked really hard. My car started slowing down and would not accelerate. The RPM's just kept riving up but car was not going any faster. It has done this twice in the past week. The dealership put it on the computer and ran some tests and cleared out all codes and updated some stuff and told me to let hi know if the engine light came back on. Well on the way home the engine light came back on and did the same thing and jerked really hard making my car slow down and not accelerate. …”

NHTSA complaint #11408666, filed 2021-04, 86,245 miles

“When I had the mechanic look at the check engine light, he advised that there is a leak in the fuel system.. So my car slowly, very slowly leaks gasoline. This started the same time as the wipers, and the oil pressure sensor, and the recall on the transmission. Has to be related or an affect of one of those things.”

NHTSA complaint #11362503, filed 2020-10

“My car has an extremely bad rough idle. I’ve had an alignment done, new tires, new spark plugs. I’ve done so much work to this car. I have done some extremely deep research and it is a VERY common issue in the 2013 Dodge dart. One thing I also read, is it could be caused due to all of the ground point nuts being painted over, not creating a strong circuit for the ground. That should be a recall because I cannot physically replace all of those nuts. …”

NHTSA complaint #11605972, filed 2024-08

“I purchased the car used approximately 3 years ago, and the vehicle has experienced intermittent loss-of-propulsion and transmission/gear-engagement problems since then thru today. Getting worse. While driving, the vehicle has repeatedly and unexpectedly lost propulsion and behaved as though the transmission shifted into Neutral. The engine can remain running, but pressing the accelerator does not result in normal forward propulsion. The vehicle has also intermittently refused to engage a gear. …”
