Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Whenever it gets moisture and usually cold, the dummy lights come on and we lose some of the functions such as cruise control, lights, ABS etc. It has done it since being fairly new and would resolve itself after the weather changed and it dried up outside. Now the steering wheel clicks, the dummy lights no longer shut off, and the electronic stability control does not work. Was not notified of the air bag recall. I'm told it needs a clock spring also and it is right by the recalled part. We had to pay over $400 for the control panel but could not afford the clock spring. …”

NHTSA complaint #10762887, filed 2015-09, 100,000 miles

“On november 24, 2017 car purchased from pinellas auto brokers, inc. Located at 4600 66th street north, st. Petersburg, florida. The next morning, november 25, 2017,car was taken for oil change and inspection. Was told the vehicle would need frame restoration and then apply for a salvage title after inspection, none of which was disclosed at time of purchase. Salesperson assured me that no vehicles come to the lot with any major damage, only minor issues. …”

NHTSA complaint #11051529, filed 2017-11, 168,598 miles

“The vehicle air bag light keeps coming on and throwing a code so the vehicle can not get an inspection sticker. The code is for the clock spring with electronic stabiltiy control. This part is not available and is back ordered per the dealer. Called Dodge and got a lot of I don't know with no resolution . This part is a $900 part you would think they would have an answer as to when it would be available. They should supply an extended waranty on this part seeing as every Durango seems to have this problem. No airbag would deploy without this part.”

NHTSA complaint #10807971, filed 2015-12, 60,000 miles

“The clock spring with electronic stability control keeps alarming. It is now a dealer only part , at a $900.00 price for the part. Have recalls on driver and passenger airbags, passenger airbag not available at this time”
