“Fuel spews out of the filler neck everytime I fill up the vehicle whether I use the auto fill or hold the lever by hand. If the vehicle is filled with any speed 1-2 pints of fuel will come spitting back out when it reaches the top. The fuel has spit on me and my wife on several occasions. This happens regardless of the level the tank is at prior to filling or how long the vehicle was operated before attempting to fill it. …”

NHTSA complaint #10702292, filed 2015-03, 35,000 miles

“I went to a gas station to fill up on fuel and when the attendant heard it click off and tried to remove the gas hose the gas tank spit fuel back out and down the side of my vehicle. This is the second time it has done this and only the second time I have done a full fill-up since I bought it in august.”

NHTSA complaint #10482607, filed 2012-10, 62,558 miles

“When filling up the gas tank, I had some fuel leak out when I was finished pumping, probably a half gallon at least. It then runs down the side of the vehicle causing a fire threat. This has happened at multiple gas stations”

NHTSA complaint #10776536, filed 2015-09, 56,000 miles

“I have a 2008 Dodge Durango with 28,000 miles on it. Just recently when I fill the gas tank up and the gas handle clicks off meaning the tank is full, upon removing the handle gas erupts from the tank and pours all down the side of my Durango. Nothing has been done yet, but I know there are many other Durango owners out there that have this problem. This is a great danger and a recall with a fix should be issued.”

NHTSA complaint #10397017, filed 2011-04, 21,000 miles

“The fuel line from the fuel pump came off while driving down the road it has never been touched it is all factory original and I found two other hoses off to both had no clamps on it from the factory this is a major fire hazard and I want to be repaid for my repairs you should've already recalled this it's on the internet and it has been proven it's happened to multiple vehicles why has this not been recalled this is a major fire hazard and you're doing nothing about it is Dodge paying you to keep your mouth shut or you as crooked as the rest of the companies out there it sounds like it…”
