“We just got another call on this 2000 Durango apparently the issues are the same for every Dodge Durango from 1999 to 2007 vehicle stalls at any speed at any time any where wet or dry common problem on all durangos and no easy fix or solutions not even from chrysler we americans are wondering when you will issue a safety recall on this particular brand model and years or will you just ignore this email until someone's stalls on the 70 -75 miles per hour fast lane of the highway with there kids or loved ones and is killed ?? Come NHTSA this is a very serious matter.”

NHTSA complaint #10706156, filed 2015-04, 168,000 miles

“Our 2000 Dodge Durango with just over 36,000 miles blew on a trip out of town leaving us stranded. The factory warranty had just expired. The extended warranty people came down and are trying to blame it on us, saying we didn't change the oil enough, (that's ridiculous) we did change the oil, but even if we hadn't it shouldn't make the engine blow, it might make it run like crap, it wasn't really doing that either. …”

NHTSA complaint #10093561, filed 2004-10, 36,380 miles

“One several occasions (more than 3) the vehicle has shut off completely in the roadway with no warning. The fuel seems to be in a vapor lock or the fuel pump is not pumping correctly. There is currently a recall on the 2005 Durango for the exact same problem. I feel this may be the same issue related to my vehicle. The mechanic who evaluated the vehicle stated this was the problem and these vehicles were known to have this problem throughout several years.”

NHTSA complaint #10153207, filed 2006-03, 100,000 miles

“Since ownership of the vehicle two engines were replaced. Front end had been realigned on at least two occasions due to excessive wear on the tires. Also, fuel pump had been replaced twice.”

NHTSA complaint #10061687, filed 2004-03, 34,000 miles

“One morning I was taking my 9-year-old daughter to school and our truck just stalled while I was driving. Thank Allah that there was no heavy traffic and no one got hurt. That incident has my daughter scared. I took it to the mechanic they read the diagnostic fixed what codes came up and still my truck is not operating properly. The truck still stalls while driving the mechanic has informed me. I have had my IAC, MAP sensor, TPS, ignition coil, distributor, and canister purge valve replaced.”
