“During the accident my truck was hit head-on by a van and the air bag did not deploy. I had head injury (headaches, memory lapses, confusion, blury eyes, back/legs pains till this very day. Chrysler was informed several times about the problems with the truck before the accident and they refused to resolve it and after the accident, they still refused to resolve it.”

NHTSA complaint #10644031, filed 2014-10, 98,400 miles

“I have a 2000 Dodge Durango with 65,000 well kept miles. On oct 7, I was involved in a pileup on interstate 24 in murfreesboro, tn. There were 6 cars, and I was number 3. The airbag did not deploy. I was taken by ambulance to vanderbilt hospital, where I was diagnoses with a broken sternum.”

NHTSA complaint #10287267, filed 2009-10, 65,000 miles

“My children and I were involved in an auto accident in which we were hit in the rear, and then hit the car in front of us, which also hit the car in front of them.our 2000 Dodge Durango appears to have faulty safety mechanisms, and other hazards, for neither air bag deployed, and both front seats collapsed.”

NHTSA complaint #10054617, filed 2004-01, 64,000 miles

“When we tried to avoid an accident by braking, our anti-lock brakes locked and we were unable to steer. Also, upon impact at approximately 40-45 MPH, our air bags did not deploy even though the front end of our Dodge Durango (2000) was completely destroyed.”

NHTSA complaint #10049609, filed 2003-12, 40,300 miles

“The cruise control and horn quit working. I was checking the internet to see what could be wrong with it. I found the recall for replacing the clockspring in the steering wheel and this could cause my problems plus cause my air bag to not deploy in an accident. I contacted the dealer and was told my # (*)was not included and to call chrysler, which I did. I was told the same thing and that I should take it to be fixed and then if it were added to the recall I would be reimbursed. I don't feel I should be responsible for this repair and I don't have the money for it. …”
