“Takata recall. I recently had the second recall done on my truck and was told that they could not get the air bag light to go out. From what the service tech told me is that it is happening to alot of the cars that come in for this recall. This causes me a huge issue as now I am without a vehicle because I cannot get a passing inspection sticker.”

NHTSA complaint #11012235, filed 2017-08, 259,000 miles

“The vehicle will shut off without any warning. No warning lights or anything, the vehicle just stalls in the middle of traffic, brakes or power steering doesn't work when vehicle shuts down. This can cause a very serious accident or death to myself and others around me. Help! This happened several times and when I take it to the shop they can't find anything wrong with because no error codes come up.”

NHTSA complaint #11045931, filed 2017-11, 240,000 miles

“I t-boned a drunk driver who ran a red light with my 2006 Dodge Durango. I hit hard enough to brake the frame of the vehicle in two places and I hit the dash, but my airbags did not go off. Chrysler said since the airbag light was not on there were no faults in the system. If they did not go off in this accident what would it take for the air bags to go off? Updated 03/01/10 updated 03/22/10”

NHTSA complaint #10310831, filed 2010-02, 53,000 miles

“At approximately 1:30 pm today, I was driving my 2006 Dodge Durango when both side airbags deployed without the vehicle being struck. We were in traffic, moving at a rate of about 25 MPH and had just completed a left turn. There was no exterior damage to the vehicle. The Durango was towed to the dealer for inspection. There were two passengers and a driver in the SUV at the time of the deployment.”

NHTSA complaint #10268769, filed 2009-05, 78,825 miles

“We own a 2006 Dodge Durango and over the summer while driving my radio started and stopped working, my navigation system starting blinking, and then finally my car stopped working altogether. We found both of the relays to the electrical system on our Durango full of water but when I called the dealership they denied ever hearing of this issue and started that there was no warranty. We shook out the relays, left them unplugged overnight, and used a hair dryer to dry any remaining moisture. …”
