“Headlight dimmer switch is malfunctioning. The headlights are stuck on their high-beams. When cycling between the low/high beams, the low beam headlights will come on in addition to the high beams, which will not turn off. When flicking the dimmer switch or trying to flash someone, sometimes the headlights go out completely, leaving me with my parking lights.”

I would like this fixed asap.”

“Entire suspension replaced. According to mechanic suspension was shot, and he has seen this on numerous occasions. He suggested this may be a recall problem, but advised to check into it to be sure. Also, I have already replaced the multi-function switch approximately 3 years ago and have just been told it needs to be replaced again. I have been driving with high beams on because the lower beams do not work.”

NHTSA complaint #10098092, filed 2004-11

“The headlights fill with condensation making their light output minimal and dangerous at night. They are $300 for a new pair and I can't keep purchasing a new pair every 20,000 miles. They are delaminating and the dealer says this is a common problem with the Intrepid yet they won't fix it. The dealer even suggested that I purchase illegal high output off road use only bulbs to make up for the poor performance . Every Intrepid I see around town has the same problem!! Help!”
