“The headlights on my 2001 Dodge Intrepid flash bright & dim on both high and low beam. The light behind the speedometer, fuel gauge, etc. Also flashes at the same time. The dealership has been unable to duplicate the problem. I have been told the headlights will have to fail before they can start replacing parts.”
NHTSA complaint #10066495, filed 2004-04, 34,900 miles“Headlights come on and go out by themselves when car is turned off. Headlamp switch acts as if it is wired backwards - when car is started and headlamp switch is in the off position, the headlights come on, and when the headlamp switch is turned to the on position, the headlights go off. Going in for repair 8/9/06.”

Have had passengers in the car when it has happened, so it's not my imagination. This has was dismissed when questioning why is this happening.”
