“The Dodge RAM 1500 4x4 try k needs to be recalled due to bade fram rust and bad body rust and for the bad dash that Dodge put in them but let's first. Talk about a safety recall for the bad farms that was used I want my truck fixed and Dodge should be made to do so”

NHTSA complaint #11183853, filed 2019-03, 239,000 miles

“The entire dashboard becomes brittle and falls apart. It is very thin to start. When I call around to buy a replacement dashboard at local junk yards,I'm told that if I can find one, I should play the lottery, that's letting me know that it is a large problem that affects all the trucks. I personally know 6 people with the same year trucks that all have the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10577835, filed 2014-04, 50,000 miles

“Driving at approx. 25 MPH an a residential street, I hit a pothole. The dashboard, which was badly cracked as a result of manufacturer defect, suffered catastrophic failure, collapsing in pieces. The bezel fell forward, obstructing the gauges, and two pieces fell near the pedals. I was able to pull over without further incident.”

NHTSA complaint #10430751, filed 2011-10, 50,000 miles

“I have a 2000 Dodge RAM 1500 truck. The entire dash has several cracks throughout it and parts of it are starting to cave in. I see where many people are having the same problem. This is poor construction. I have contacted Dodge and they wont back their product. The vehicle has been garage kept since 2002 and is typically only driven 8k-10k a year.”

NHTSA complaint #10258913, filed 2009-02, 78,000 miles

“No matter what I do to take care of it the dash just keeps cracking more and more. There are rattles in the dash from the pieces that have broken off. I fear that some day the dash is going to break loose while I am driving causing my foot to get stuck on the accelerator.”
