2006: “The gas tank on my 2006 Ducati monster s2r has expanded in both width and length. The larger dimensions now allow the handlebars to hit the tank which could cause a loss of control/crash. Another worrisome issue with an ever-expanding plastic gas tank is the fact that it sits in your lap while riding. Not really where I would want a sudden expulsion of flammable liquid onto a hot engine when the tank splits open.”
