Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Vehicle does not come with any type of jack or tools to remove tire, the repair kit does not offer solution of the tire is damaged on the side of the tire as show on the picture, I live more than 20 miles from a repair center, I can’t remove the tire, I’ll have to pay a towing company to get the car brought to a service center”

NHTSA complaint #11597587, filed 2024-06

“Vehicle was on software version 2.0 which solely contributed to this problem. I had a front passenger tire have a catastrophic failure and blow out on me while driving, this causes the car to pull hard to the right, into a concrete wall. Compounding this problem was I let off the throttle and the regen braking never kicked in to slow the car down. Software version 2.0 was known to be flawed and cause excessive tire wear and regen braking issues, which is what I believe happened. …”

NHTSA complaint #11631928, filed 2024-12

“The vehicle accelerates on its own when I try to slow down at traffic lights and turns. Almost hitting pedestrians and cars in front of me. The lights in the back seat turn on while driving indicating to the police that I’m doing more than driving in the car The body parts so low quality the door handles are brittle and breaking. They cut my fingers and my kids fingers when we were opening and closing the doors. This car is more than hazardous, it’s highly dangerous to be certified for roads.”

NHTSA complaint #11593321, filed 2024-06

“There are so many issues with this vehicle that started right from the beggining when I purchased it back 2023): •The sensors in the car beep frequently even when nothing is in the way. •When using the brakes, the car will sometimes abruptly brake aggressively •Middle console of the inside of the car makes random noises constantly. •Wheels have no traction! Spin when going uphill. •Most importantly the vehicle shuts down automatically. NO warning or signs.”
