2021: “While driving the vehicle the warning system activated and the entire car shut down. I was stranded in an intersection of a busy street during a heavy traffic period. I was unable to start the vehicle, use my hazards, or put the car in neutral to push it to a safe location.”

NHTSA complaint #11506114, filed 2023-02, 36,101 miles

2022: “I take very good care of my car and I purchased it brand new in July of 2022. Out of nowhere a few days ago I had my car slipping of gear and won’t go forward or backwards and then my car proceeded to have the service light pop on and then my check engine light. I do not have all of the diagnostics back yet, but they did say it was transmission related. My car isn’t even 2 1/2 years old. It should not be running into issues out of no where like this.”

NHTSA complaint #11623518, filed 2024-11, 108,076 miles

2024: “My car began experiencing overheating and kept disabling 4WD while I was driving, smoke began to come out of the front hood and tailpipe. Took to repair shop and they stated my transfer case and harness was burned completely with unknown reason why this could occur. I see there is a recall for other bronco models for the same exact issue”

NHTSA complaint #11755195, filed 2026-08
