1998: “Ford tells me this does not pertain to my 1998 e350 7.3l diesel, and they will not replace the recalled part from Ford recall no. 07s57 my vehicle stalls on average 2-3 time per month, causing me to quickly put the car in neutral - restart the engine before all my breaks are gone. This has been happening for approx 3 years now. I've had a few close calls because of this. Ford recall no. …”

NHTSA complaint #10592843, filed 2014-05, 130,000 miles

1994: “As I was leaving the parking lot at cleveland clinic, I heard two loud bangs and upon looking under the hood I noticed the gearbox had pulled from the frame and three bolts sheared off leaving the steering unusable and this incident had I been driving would certainly have resulted in the death of my wife and I. Why no recall I ask? Upon researching, I am finding many of the same issues from owners of this model.”

NHTSA complaint #10452953, filed 2012-03, 300,000 miles

2000: “My 2000 Ford e-150 chateau wagon spit a spark plug for which Ford has given me an estimate of $3,000 to repair. I was informed my my towing company that this is a very common problem that they see quite regularly with fords equipped the triton engine.”
