“My daughter was backing out of driveway and said the steering was difficult to turn and felt locked. The steering assist fault came up on screen. She parked car and didn’t drive. My husband tried backing out of driveway as well and said the steering was hard to turn. He then put it in park and tried again and it drove fine.”
NHTSA complaint #11526139, filed 2023-06, 107,674 miles“As recent as 3/30/21 suddenly upon starting my car up the powersterring went out, fortunately, before any major movement of car. I shifted to park and shut the engine down and restarted and finally the power sterring was working. This has happened three times now and rather episodic in nature. Time to have it fixed via recall process. Please advise!”

Trying to pull car back into driveway it was extremely difficult as well. I just grateful I was able to get to and from church with no problem. I don't want to imagine what could have happened had this occurred while driving. Drivers are so much in a rush.”

NHTSA complaint #11242217, filed 2019-08, 1,000 miles“Power steering system fault light came on and made it really hard to steer while driving. Also when I looked online I noticed there were a ton of other people with the same year and model complaining of the issue. Please fix this issue!”
