2019: “The tailgate on my Ford f350 was repaired last year from the recall pertaining to the tailgate opening on its own. The tailgate opened on its own again today. 02/26/2021. The first time it happened I was turning right from a main city street onto a side street going about 10 MPH. Today I was going about 5 MPH and turned left into a parking lot.”
NHTSA complaint #11398137, filed 2021-02, 18,000 miles2015: “While driving on 4 lane highway at 70 MPH, I encountered the death wobble. I immediately had to brake as there was an 18 wheeler coming up on the passing lane. This happened twice on this stretch of highway. After reading all the issues regarding the death wobble, its time Ford does a recall before there is a death and Ford gets a lawsuit.”
NHTSA complaint #11399476, filed 2021-03, 84,000 miles2018: “While driving at a sustained speed of 50 miles per hour I hit a bump in the road then experienced violent shaking in the steering wheel the death wobble as others describe it. I applied the brake and steered it off the road. I got out checked all the wheels and suspension but everything seemed normal. I proceeded to drive again but never went over 45 after that.”
