“2004 Ford f-450 had rotting oil pan. It was determined by Ford that the cause was from environmental issues. Vehicle was only used on-road at all times and there was no reason after four years that the oil pan should have rotted out because of environmental issues. We are located in connecticut, nowhere near salt water. It cost our company $1,500 to replace the pan and related items. We did have a three-year extended warranty on the vehicle; however, we feel an oil pan should not rot after four years of normal wear and tear on the vehicle.”
