2021: “The tailgate system fault light started coming on on day 2 of ownership. Has been on and off a few times since. The talgate yesterday opened un commanded and damaged the tailgate and horse trailer it was connected to. Note I filled one of these I=out a munte ago but had the wrong VIN! Sorry!”
NHTSA complaint #11400338, filed 2021-03, 1,000 miles2008: “I have 2008 Ford f450 with 60 k miles and radiator start leaking at the bottom and it was building preassure on the top of atifreaze box and heat air stoped working and Ford dealer that I bought from disnt cover the warranty I paid 1400$ to get problem fixed and it second radiator that I changed from my pocket !!!! I think Ford needs to do something with that it should be a recall for all 2008-2014 power stroke diesel engines”
NHTSA complaint #10821300, filed 2016-01, 61,000 miles2004: “At appx. 80,000 miles on our 2004 f450 sd fuel tank delaminated causing fuel system failure which resulted in sudden loss of power. We have always purchased high quality diesel from reputatable gas stations (chevron, shell). Vehicle repaired at Ford and had contacted Ford motor company regarding reimbursement of cost and was declined.”
