“I leased and then purchased my vehicle brand new 8 years ago. At around 3,000 miles, I began having braking issues. I would go to break and the pedal would almost touch the floor before the vehicle would stop. It almost caused me to get into an accident so I took it immediately to the dealership. It took me 3 separate visits to get it properly diagnosed and repaired by Ford. Turned out, the vehicle had a failed master cylinder and had to have a new one installed. Now, 7 years and about 84k miles later, I am having the same issue with the brakes. …”

NHTSA complaint #11216950, filed 2019-05, 87,000 miles

“My husband and I bought a car from them. It is in my husbands name. My husband is not from this country and doesn't know what things mean in their context. This car was sold to us as is with a branded title. We accepted that. However, the car was sold to us with broken parts and the repairs that were done to it were not done to standard oem specifications. The car was sold to us with a broken front axel. This is a major safety issue because had this completely broken going down the road and we were in a wreck that would have been bad. …”

NHTSA complaint #11091058, filed 2018-04, 71,285 miles

“My Ford Fiesta is a good automobile. However there is a problematic design flaw in the brake lever travel and size and placement of the brake pedal. I have a size 12 foot and there is inadequate space for proper clearance between the brake pedal and the accelerator. Many times my foot must swing completely to the right and hit the center console to clear the brake pedal in stop and go traffic to accelerate the car. Also the brake lever to the master cylinder has way too much travel for such a small automobile. …”

NHTSA complaint #10435669, filed 2011-11, 8,000 miles

“Driving on the freeway going normal speeds the transmission failure message popped up on my dash and the car started viscously jerking. The car had trouble stopping as if the brakes couldn't function properly cause the transmission was out. My car would fiercely jerk forward when I was coming to a stop that I then noticed I had to stop further back than normal in fear of the car jerking forward to hard and hitting the car in front of me. When I finally parked and was ready to go to a well lit area the car started up perfectly normal and the transmission failure message was gone. …”

NHTSA complaint #10559862, filed 2014-01, 88,000 miles

“Purchased 02/26/16 since purchase breaks have locked up 7 times, took to original dealer of purchase 8 times in first two months of purchase by the time they get car they find nothing wrong taken to Ford dealership 3 times they replaced censor states it will fix problem and has not have almost gotten in several accidents because breaks lock up and prevent car from going forward and unable to move.”
