“Just for the record-the mileage and speed of the incident is probably not accurate as I cannot remember exactly when the issue happened nor the mileage at that time. The vehicle is less than 3 years old and it started happening in 2013. Vehicle has always been sluggish, but since it was a 4 cylinder and I was used to a 6 cylinder, I just thought this was the difference in the 2 engine types. Vehicle started shaking when speeds of 50-60mph was reached in 2013. Took to dealer where I was told it needed new ball joints and throttle body. …”
NHTSA complaint #10565776, filed 2014-02, 45,000 miles“The contact owns a 2011 Ford fusion. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle lost acceleration power. The vehicle also failed to accelerate after coming to a complete stop. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic testing however, the failure was unable to be duplicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.”
