“My transmission stopped engaging as I was turning into my parking space at home after a 150-mile trip.I was in motion. The engine raced. I let off the gas pedal. I turned off the engine, thinking it might be a software glitch. When I tried to restart the engine, nothing happened. I had to push the car into the space with the transmission in neutral.”

NHTSA complaint #11166653, filed 2019-01, 60,000 miles

“I have had so much trouble with this car I am upside down on it. Now all the electrical stuff seems to be shorting. I was driving and my fuel gauge kept going to zero then back up to half a tank. Then my check engine light came on. My horn doesn't work which is is huge safety concern for me those are just the new issues I also have had the TCM replaced twice and it never made a difference to the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11402954, filed 2021-03, 108,000 miles

“The car randomly stalls and dies while I am driving it. It has died on the interstate and on rural roads and highways. This is very dangerous and there is currently a recall out on a part of the 2014 Ford Focus which causes this problem. It dies when I am driving and coasting, when I accelerate, and when I have my cruise set.”

NHTSA complaint #11210078, filed 2019-05, 105,000 miles

“The capless gas tank is trapping air, causing the car to burp and sometimes turning engine off even when driving. This has happened numerous times in the last 8 months. But more frequently lately. I was driving down the interstate and my engine cut off from it. Went to get it checked out and the service centers keep giving me the same response everywhere.”
