“The wiper fluid sprayer stopped working. I have no idea why. Then ever since I bought the car it stutters everytime I hit the gas pedal. So each time when taking have it has a shaking sensation. Each time I have taken it to the dealer they say the same thing that the car was made to do that because its an automatic dual transmission.”
NHTSA complaint #11321348, filed 2020-04, 400,000 miles“Check engine light came on yesterday out of nowhere. Car started jerking bad as I took off. Slowly but getting worse til I had to stop. Then didn't wanna crank back up. Strange. So we hear a loud ticking noise .. This is with keys out of the car ignition.... I put keys in , still nothing. Eventually it crank but no reverse. God help me!!!!!!!!!!!”
NHTSA complaint #11270504, filed 2019-10, 174,000 miles“Tcm and fuel system purge valve are both recalled on this vehicle , I have taken it to Ford 6 times in a year for this issue, they tell me its not affected but it is according to your website and my car has all the symptoms of it, itll loose power on the interstate and then after I get it restarted I can make it 2 miles and it does it again, it is a death trap.”
NHTSA complaint #11251926, filed 2019-08, 144,000 miles“The car has a problem taking off and seems to not want to shift. It now will not drive and I have it at the dealership. Paid over $1000 and still not fixed. Said it was the TCM. Now they want another $800 (saying they are giving me a discount) to change the clutch fork and hopefully that will work. I've had problems since I got it in 2016. Called and there was nothing they could do.”
NHTSA complaint #11323437, filed 2020-05, 33,000 miles“I have had so much trouble with this car I am upside down on it. Now all the electrical stuff seems to be shorting. I was driving and my fuel gauge kept going to zero then back up to half a tank. Then my check engine light came on. My horn doesn't work which is is huge safety concern for me those are just the new issues I also have had the TCM replaced twice and it never made a difference to the car.”
