“Why isn't there a manual release on a power seat? The driver's seat in my 2012 Focus sel continually blew fuse after fuse. There is a safety problem when the power seat blows a fuse causing the driver's seat to automatically move forward to the most forward position putting the driver on top of the steering wheel. If the air bag had been inflated I would have been killed. Why aren't the manufacturers required to have a manual release on a power seat?”

NHTSA complaint #10732462, filed 2015-07, 33,000 miles

“On 10/23/2015 at 51,289 miles, I took the car in because the car intermitterly would not start & when taking off from 1st to 2nd gear, it was jerky. I would have to let off the gas. I also experienced a rubbing & scraping sound that I found out is what they said was the transmission clutch shuddering. The clutch & TCM (transmission control module) were replaced under the Ford technical service bulletins tsb15-0120 & TSB-15-0121. On 10/12/2016 at 71,906 miles, I took the car back into the same local Ford dealer for shuddering again. …”

NHTSA complaint #10980416, filed 2017-04, 51,289 miles

“Purchased the car used in 2014 with approximately 26,000 miles from schultz Ford route 304, bardonia, ny for about $18,000. In 2017 it was noticed that during raining water was entering the car interior above the left window onto the driver's seat and onto the front left floor mat where it would pool. Subsequently the interior wetness was heavier as the rain was heavier whether car is parked or in motion. The water needed to be soaked up with towels and sponges as necessary. Then an appointment was made with schultz dealership and repair to remedy the problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #11309504, filed 2020-02, 40,000 miles

“Repair drivers side seat will not adjust forward or backwards. Replaced track assembly. For abnormal access to track air duct came loose and locked up and broke track assembly. Second issue started at lower mileage but continued driving and got worse and at 35500 miles took Focus to dealership with transmission shuttering jerking and making noises. They reprogrammed the computer. Before reprogramming I was getting 34.2 miles to the gallon afterwards getting worse noises jerks and mileage down to 28.6. …”
