“The driver is onthe road, truck engine bogs, then dies.he managed to get it off the road, let sit for a few minutes, then the truck restarted and ra for a little while longer, then the same scenario, several more times before he managed to get it to the shop. I pulled both fuel filters and found the on-frame filter plugged with a scaly, whitish-silver crystalline film. I replaced both filters, now, a few thousand miles on the new filters, it is doing it again and I am replacing the filters again.”

Ford dealership said the fuel tank is delaminating inside, causing the fuel injectors to fail. Apparently this has been going on for the last couple of years. We've replaced several fuel injectors over that time. The cost to fix this (from Ford) is 5,000.00. New tank,fuel lines, all new injectors. In researching this issue, I found that this is becoming common for the Ford 2006 Ford lcf. I have very good maintanance records and only use fuel from one source. …”
