“I was driving on a straight road. The front wheel on drivers side fell off causing the truck to roll going airborne and landing upside down in a creek down a 20 ft embankment. The airbag was recalled and replaced at a local Ford dealer. The airbag did not deploy. Last thing I remember was gently tapping my brake.”

NHTSA complaint #11330244, filed 2020-06, 117,000 miles

“I was first notified in january. Have received 2 letters from Ford, stating parts were available. It is now june and still np parts. I am number 13 on list at garber Ford, gcs for repair. I cannot drive vehicle or if I do, I am at risk. What is problem with Ford or supplier? Truck is now useless to me.”

“Takata recall I have been twice to a Ford dealer and called two Ford dealers concerning my passenger airbag problem. They say that they do not have the part. I have sent a letter to the Ford company. I did not hear back from them. My wife will not ride with me as a passenger. What can I do. I did not have an accident.”

“Takata recall - no Ford dealers in my area have any replacement air bags since my calls starting in 8-22-17 and today. When they get them in, I was told Ford will mail me a letter to bring my Ford Ranger xlt in to get it installed. I don't want to miss out on this free replacement.”

NHTSA complaint #11044106, filed 2017-11, 39,000 miles

“Takata recall. I was notified in july 2016 of the recall of my rangers passenger side airbag. I have called my local Ford dealer three times since being notified, today (october 20 2017) being the latest call. Each time the dealer has said that no parts are yet available.”
