“I have gotten numerous notices of recall and have taken my Ranger to the local Ford dealer , spradley fore in pueblo colorado. They scheduled me an appointment and then told me upon arrival they did not have the parts and couldn't replace the air bags. They said Ford was concentrating on areas of the country with high humidity and pueblo, colorado did not qualify. I have now gotten notices not to drive the vehicle.”

This does not solve my issue that it can rupture. I do not feel safe driving my vehicle while this recall is still open and with no remedy available.”

NHTSA complaint #11093221, filed 2018-05, 162,399 miles“About two years ago I received a notice for a recall on my rangers airbags and followed the instructions and had it replaced by my local Ford dealer. A month ago while the Ranger being parked at a restaurant parking lot I observed another parked car reversing back into the front end of the Ranger causing no physical damage to the front of the Ranger, only to have both driver and passenger airbags to inflate prematurely. This mere impact should not have caused the airbags to inflate in the manner that it did.”
