“The body paint has peeled off of roof and front of vehicle. The paint is black and the peeled sections have turned whitish-gray. I have seen this on other Ford tauruses of same year. I have had this complaint for three years . Ford does not admit to this condition being unusual.”
NHTSA complaint #711442, filed 1999-09“Why is there a recall for some 1991 Ford Taurus's exhibiting the same problem as mine with the front brakes and rotors having to be replaced, and not mine. I recently spent $389.00 for this repair. I've also had to replace the axle in this vehichle as I did in another Ford Taurus (1987) I previously owned. The air conditioning/heating system is also another repeat problem for me ocurring in both 1987 & 1991 vehciles.”
