“The brakes are dangerous and the warning lights stay on all the time. The undercarriage is messed up, I've had to replace several front tires due to unbalancing issues and popping noises when driving straight and on even roads that have gotten worse. I had a bad head on wreck and the airbags did not deploy. I'm concerned they will deploy at any moment.”

NHTSA complaint #11291126, filed 2019-12, 218,000 miles

“After exiting the highway, braking to stop a red light, the car proceeded to slowly accelerate on its own. After letting it go for a while, it topped out around 52mph, as if the cruise control was working on its own. I kept pressing off, but that wouldn't work. The car stopped revving rpms when I put it in neutral.”

NHTSA complaint #11162165, filed 2018-12, 139,000 miles

“On august 5th, while driving north on hwy 378 the car starting slowing down as if to stop, then it completely shut off. We were driving about 30 MPH at the time. After shutting off I continue to try and get it to fire up but it didn't until 1hr. Later. After reaching my destination, I waited 3 hrs. To crank but, I couldn't. I've replaced new fuel pump assembly and gas tank, along with a new filter. I did all this and the car still won't run. Frustrated, please help!!!!!”

NHTSA complaint #10749305, filed 2015-08, 140,111 miles

“On 12.02.2012, I was stopped at an intersection; at a red light; the lane to the entrance to the freeway; at that moment and time I did activate the rear window defogger electrical push button switch for the vehicle rear window. As soon as the signal light was green; within approximately less than two minutes, I drove off and entered the freeway; upon entering the freeway and in the slow lane, I turned off the rear window defogger; in approximately less than two or three minutes while in motion/driving; there was a loud bang!. …”

NHTSA complaint #10488241, filed 2012-12, 132,876 miles

“My 2004 Ford Taurus accelerated on its own quite a few times. After goggling the problem I saw that there had been a recall. I called Ford & was told my car wasn't included in the recall. They also told me to get it fixed because it could be dangerous. I know that because I was almost in a few accidents because of the sudden acceleration. I'd have to pull over, if not at a red light or stop sign, put the car in park & hit the accelerator a few times. I actually had to turn the car off & back on once to get the rpms down. I had the cruise control cable totally removed. …”
