“A car ran a stop sign, t-boned me on front pass-side pushing me off the road to the left. Seatbelt did not restrain me, both airbags deployed, left bag blew shrapnel cutting my face and injuring my right eye.”
NHTSA complaint #11002487, filed 2017-06, 190,000 miles“Vehicle jumped out of reverse and suddenly accelerated, and ran into a brick wall, vehicle still accelerated when started. Dealer and manufacturer were not notified at this time. The air bag failed to deploy, consumer was informed by a mechanic that the transmission was the cause of the problem, however the mechanic shop is refusing to look at the vehicle.”

But seconds prior to driver's airbag deploying, 2 plastic pieces came off the dash which was located right next to airbag in I-shape, hitting driver in the face and breaking nose. Also passenger's airbag deployed, causing injuries to passenger with permanent damage to lungs due to chemicals in airbag.”

Please linvestigate if the first failure went undetected, or caused the second failure, or was a coincidence. Your response would be appreciated.”
NHTSA complaint #752540, filed 2001-09“Was leaving from the driveway when the water bottle fell and consumer attempted to pick it up, vehicle lost control/ went off the road,resulting in a crash. Driver's airbag deployed, and the residue from the airbag did something to consumer's face and left a 7 inch scar. Consumer also suffered a whiplash, and lost 15 pounds.”
