NHTSA complaint #10029954, filed 2003-07, 37,000 miles

“My rear brake system keeps coming apart. This first happened while driving at 55 m.p.h. And I had to brake suddenly. I had to drive around vehicle in front of me to avoud a crash, I had a mechanic put them back together but the problem keeps persisting even though I have had the brake system completely redone. The problem with my cruise control is that when I use it and set it the car will go that speed and after a while will increase the speed on it's own.I have almost gotten a ticket because of this and since everytime I use it this happens I have stopped using the cruise control.”

NHTSA complaint #760642, filed 2002-04

“Intermittently, there is serious buck/jerk upon acceleration from standstill, resulting in loss of acceleration power. Clearly, this is a dangerous condition. Several times, the kam (continuous memory) has been code-scanned, with the result that no failure codes were revealed. The check engine warning light comes on only during engine start; not afterwards.”
