“The right side mirror design on this van is the worst I have ever encountered. The upper part of the mirror magnifies your view while the lower reduces it. It takes great concentration to make a safe lane change when moving to the right. The poor design of this mirror is going to cause accidents. The design needs to be investigated and a directive to Ford should be issued to recall and fix the mirrors. This van is owned by enterprise rental cars. We use it as our van pool vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10715051, filed 2015-05, 2,000 miles

“My wipers work only intermittently. They will work for a litttle while, then suddenly stop working, and start working again later. It happens in all weather conditions, in warm & cold weather, while driving and when the van is parked. I took it to the Ford dealer and they said it was the switch, which they replaced, but that did not fix the problem. I took it back to the dealer, and they ran diagnostics on it. …”

NHTSA complaint #11258491, filed 2019-09

“The contact owns a 2015 Ford Transit. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 MPH, the contact discovered that the exterior driver’s side mirror had detached from the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 94,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11519185, filed 2023-04, 94,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2015 Ford Transit. The contact stated that water had leaked through the windshield and into the air filter compartment, onto several wires for different electrical systems in the vehicle, and onto emissions components, which affected the engine timing. The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that there was approximately 2-inches of water in the air filter box. The check engine warning light was illuminated, with diagnostic trouble codes indicating that the Oxygen sensors had failed, and the timing was not being converted correctly. …”
