“The plastic holding the hood prop rod broke while the hood was up causing the hood to come crashing down. I had not touched the rod. Luckily I was not leaning into the engine compartment at the time. I would have had serious injuries if it had come down on my head and neck. The vehicle was stationary.”
NHTSA complaint #11414756, filed 2021-05, 15,000 miles“Air bag failure at 35 to 45 mph. All sensors on front end should have been activated to deploy. I am reporting this due to this vehical having prior mvc and has been serviced. I am wondering if air bag system was not repaired from prior incidents”
NHTSA complaint #11757814, filed 2026-08“The Ford Transit I purchased 08/05/2019 sliding door does not open. It is the only way out of the car. When trying to enter through the door it takes several minutes so we enter thru the right front passenger door. To exit the vehicle... Not possible it's stuck. I told the dealership and they semi attempted to fix it. But they have not and they are not answering my phone calls. As an ex-safety officer I see this as a safety violation. I call the regional office and she has not answerd either. …”
