2016: “The frame on the Vengeance 40d12 toy hauler has a support bracket located over the right rear tire. This bracket comes into contact with the tire when the camper travels over bumps and dips in the road. I have mentioned this on the Forest River forums website and it appears to be a problem others have with this model camper. The bracket chews away at the tire when this occurs and a tire failure is inevitable if the bracket is not removed or cut away. I submitted this to the Forest River warranty dept. On july 31, 2017 and I was told it would be forwarded to a warranty rep for review. …”
NHTSA complaint #11022219, filed 2017-09, 100 miles2021: “Ground control 2.0 system will not lift my 17,500lbs fifth wheel toy-hauler. As this system will only lift 15,500lbs. I purchased a new landing gear leg as Forest River and Western Skies Rv would not replace as it was out of warranty which was a week prior. This is issue and needs to be taken care of. If these fifth wheel trailers are no equip with the proper lifting landing gear how are you suspost to use this 110,000.00 dollar RV?”
