2010: “The trailer blew tires on opposite sides traveling on I-35 in a straight direction, in one week. Repair service said that the bearing had failed with no replacements available new axles would need purchased. I found replacement bearings and now the service provider says the hubs are bad. Manufacturer says they don't have a recall set-up but will sale axles two for one. Forums are show this as a problem experienced by many. This is why lippert has discontinued replacement parts.”
NHTSA complaint #10778860, filed 2015-09, 1,500 miles2007: “On my 2007 Wildcat 5th wheel trailer we had a double blow out on i95 in florida, the tires came apart from the inside out with only about 5 to 7k miles on them. Also the tires were only about 3 years old. Inspection of another tire should it was close to blowing out so all four tires were replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10276743, filed 2009-07, 6,000 miles2004: “I purchased four new goodyear marathon trailer tires (225/75/15 load range d) for my fifth wheel camper june 2012. Two of the four tires blew apart in the first 1500 miles. There is something very wrong with these tires. They should not be blowing apart with almost no use and without any impact damage from road hazards. I have read multiple complaints online with these same tires. This is very dangerous and it needs to be addressed soon. These tire failures have damaged my camper but, I'm just glad it did not cause a crash, injury, or death.”
