“Several times now, my Genesis GV70 will make a strange sound on startup. The auto stop light will illuminate and I can't turn it off. The car will have no power to accelerate. I have to turn the car off and back on again for the problem to resolve.”
NHTSA complaint #11625233, filed 2024-11“I purchased this vehicle on February 27, 2023 from Genesis Johnson of Cary. When driving the vehicle away from the dealership (less than 200 miles) between 2/27/23 and 3/4/23, I started smelling a foul odor that smelled like fumes, burning, stale water. I contacted the dealership regarding these issues. I purchased an extended warranty. I was told that they could not help me. I read my contract that stated I could take the vehicle to any authorized dealership. During the time I drove the vehicle, there was massive amounts of rain. …”

Car taken to dealer 7/21/23 for repair. I was told the water pump and sensor were replaced on a 11 month old car. I received my car back from the Genesis dealer on 7/26/23 and two days later, Friday, 7/28/23, the problem continued. …”
