2026: “When stopped at a stoplight with my foot on the brake and the transmission in drive (D), after 15-30 seconds, the transmission shifts into park and the engine starts. (the autostart was in the default position). This has occurred repeatedly. The the autostart button is pressed and the light is on, the transmission reacts normally. I have a video but it is larger than 10MB”

NHTSA complaint #11728732, filed 2026-04

2022: “I was driving and I wasnt merging, no one was in front or behind me and my car had a collision warning and forced me to brake 3 times in a row. I was going 30 miles per hour and it made me brake really quickly, then it went forward, broke again by itself, went and then broke one more time. I had to wait for it to be normal before entering the freeway. Very scary”

NHTSA complaint #11696943, filed 2025-11

2023: “Genesis uses soy-based wiring in the engine without any rodent protection. We had rats chewing the wires in the engine last year in April, for $6.9k repair cost and again this year in February for $7.4k in repair cost. This car cost way too much to own, the repairs take about 5 to 6 weeks to complete, and most importantly this cat is a major safety concern to me and my family.”
