“I was entering a highway when my vehicle lost the ability to accelerate. Complete loss of acceleration, audible and visual notifications on my dashboard that were difficult to read as I was dealing with a dangerous situation. I was fortunate that there was a pull out immediately ahead and no traffic that allowed me to quickly get to safety. Had I been further up the highway or on a freeway, my life and that of drivers around me would have been in imminent danger as this was sudden and unexpected. …”
NHTSA complaint #11719058, filed 2026-02“While driving an audible pop from the rear of the vehicle was heard. Upon hearing the pop the vehicle warning lights came on and a sudden loss of power reducing my maximum speed to 20 mile per hour. The electrical system failure warning came up on the screen and the car would not accelerate to over 20 miles per hour. The dealer stated it was a failed ICCU and fuse. This has been at the dealer for over 10 days without a return window provided. The car has 15,802 miles on it.”
