“There is a airbag notification that comes on also im having engine issues where my fuel runs out extremely fast without notice. I can drive less than 30 miles and my vehicle will be almost of empty from a full tank. It just happened out of nowhere. My friend also has the same vehicle and she is having the same issues with her car. I really need this fixed asap.”

NHTSA complaint #11403816, filed 2021-03, 25 miles

“I bought my 2008 Gmc Acadia and not long after the check engine light came on. It was the timing chain. I had the chevy dealership replace it which was almost $3000.00. About a year and a half later it has gone out again. And I can't afford another $3000.00. Now it's just sitting. Very up set about this.”

NHTSA complaint #11222330, filed 2019-06, 310,000 miles

“I just had the clutch wave plate break into pieces inside my transmission causing us to almost get into an accident as my kids and I were getting on the freeway. We lost our gears and had to be towed. I looked up the issue and it sounds like this is a more than common issue with the Acadia at this mileage. If this is such a well-known issue why does GM not fix this issue?”

NHTSA complaint #10584511, filed 2014-04, 63,458 miles

“I was merging onto highway when the RPM's on my vehicle went to 5 (or above) and the vehicle lurched into gear. After that happened, the vehicle would not go above 45mphs. Every time the vehicle would need to change gears after this the rpms would climb before changing gears. The vehicle was taken to the dealership and I was advised it was the transmission.”

NHTSA complaint #10555841, filed 2013-12, 74,000 miles

“The timing chain is going bad for no reason, and I know is not olthe only one, a friend of mine has the same truck with the same problem for no reason as well... I was on my way to school and the truck lost the power and didn't come back so, I had to call the tow truck and take it to the shop where they told me that the time chain was bad. I would really appreciate that you do some research and help me and other people who has the same truck as me.”
