“Driving along rapidly with rear defroster on and blade wiping with outside temperature of about 0 degrees and with a loud blast the rear window suddenly exploded loudly into hundreds of pieces flinging shards of glass into the vehicle causing me to almost loose control of the car into a snow bank or opposing lane. Now I am out $650 for a replacement but gladly no one got hurt.”

NHTSA complaint #10490902, filed 2013-01, 70,000 miles

“Beginning on 08-20-2011 my 2006 Envoy began turning on and off its wipers and spraying windshield washing fluid everywhere. It now does this regularly everyday it is driven. Makes it hard to see at times. I have not taken it to a garage yet, was looking to see if there was a recall as I'm sure this will not be cheap to fix :(”

NHTSA complaint #10421046, filed 2011-08, 85,000 miles

“When I start my car the windshield wipers come on even though they are in the off position. Sometimes its intermittent, sometime they run for as long as I am driving. I have checked complaints on this going back to 2013.”

NHTSA complaint #10916267, filed 2016-10, 160,000 miles

“Wind shield wipers would go on .now they won't go off. Engine light wont go off feels like the car is going to stall out. Mechanic said it will get worse and will start stalling out. I see a lot of complaints on these cars about the same thing I have going on. My gas gauge wont work. I brought my car for the recall for the drivers door last year and now my keys won't unlock the doors. Only the remote will open it. When I called about the doors and windows not working they said my VIN wasn't under recall I called you and you got it fixed for me. …”

NHTSA complaint #10542096, filed 2013-09, 70,000 miles

“I have a 2006 Gmc Envoy. Two months ago after filling up my gas tank the gauge indicated no fuel, and then it would fluctuate, from full to empty. Now it is a daily occurrence. The gas tank is full and reads empty, the engine light comes on, then it reads I have half a tank, then no gas and back up to full. I know other owners have problems and hope there will be a recall soon on this. I also have a problem with my outside temperature gauge in my rear view mirror, I do not get an accurate reading. When it's 70 degrees out, it reads -34 degrees. …”
