“Faulty fuel gauge sensor, as well as a faulty instrument panel. The fuel gauge indicates there is no fuel when I have just filled up my 2006 Gmc Envoy. Started with filling up my SUV and after I got gas, the gauge dropped to empty with the bell chiming low fuel. The check engine light stays on constantly even after having the car serviced. It goes off intermittently. Definitely dangerous as you do not know when you will run out of gas, especially with traveling with young children.”
NHTSA complaint #10398789, filed 2011-05, 70,000 miles“Will be driving down the road and depending where located in seat, the passenger airbag will disable. This vehicle has cloth seats and does not have the leather. You must wiggle around in the seat to make the passenger airbag reactivate. Sometimes it works and sometimes you must stop and cut off and restart the vehicle to make it work. This is intermittent.”
NHTSA complaint #10273950, filed 2009-06, 75,000 miles“Tried to turn on the air conditioning and discovered the fan did not work. After quite a bit of research and an expensive diagnosis, was informed the blower motor resistor was burned out. This appears to be a common, frequent, and expensive problem if done by the dealership. …”
NHTSA complaint #10457251, filed 2012-05, 90,256 miles“Michelin cross terrain tires have developed sidewall cracks in all 4 tires. The tires have 23,750 miles on them. They are original equipment tires on 2006 Gmc Envoy. They were taken to the authorized michelin tire dealer for inspection where they did acknowledge the cracks. They in turn called michelin who supposedly authorized a 55% credit towards a new set of tires. If michelin also acknowledges the defect, then these tires should be recalled and replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10327502, filed 2010-04, 15,000 miles“Well I have a 2006 Envoy, the battery hand bounces between 0-14 volts replaced the battery, had the alter nator checked and its fine. I talked to the guy at a Gmc deal he said its the dashboard switches.. And the check engine light comes on and off, he said its a sensor or the dash panel. Who knows. You shouldn't have to go thru al this hassel. I want mine fixed.......”
