“In the city stopped at a left turn lane waiting for the green. Light turned green, I stated to turn left and was hit on right front hard enough to send me two lanes over, onto the sidewalk and into a brick wall cause major damage to brick building. I do not remember being hit or hitting the brick wall. No airbags deployed. I went to the hospital and diagnosed with a concussion.”
NHTSA complaint #11398207, filed 2021-02, 100,000 miles“Takata recall I received my first recall notice in july 2016 and it is almost 3 years later and still no resolution to the passenger air bag problem. I'm concerned for any passenger that rides with me in the event that the air bag would deploy. Seems like 3 years is way to long to get this fixed.”
NHTSA complaint #11204738, filed 2019-04, 116,241 miles“I was driving from lufkin to hemphill at 70 MPH. Something blew up, I thought something hit me. Engine died, brakes started, emergency lights came on, and seatbelt locked down, truck stopped, I got out to see what hit me. Nothing! When I got back in the truck a white powder (not smoke) was coming out of the seat belt on drivers side. When seat belt locked down I had to back seat up to get out of the belt. I was lucky that I did not hit someone.”
NHTSA complaint #11408218, filed 2021-04, 169,393 miles“Gmc dash recall my 2008 Gmc sierra dash is cracking and I looked up the problem on google and it looks like thousands of others have the same problem as me. The dash is cracked in such a way that at a certain angle I can see wires exposed from the airbag cover. I would like to see a recall to fix the cracked dash.”

If this air bag goes off before it is recalled plastic parts from dash might harm the driver and or passenger. I think GM needs to recall the cracked dash complaints that people are posting on line. I had this dash replaced once before under warranty.”
