“Traveling down road at 45 MPH in a storm. A large tree blew down in front of me I hit brakes but pickup didn't not stop. I hit the tree as there was no place to go. The front bumper was knocked back app 4 inches wrapped the frame of truck. The air bag never deployed. This was a 2014 Gmc bad lander edition. It stayed in shop in okc ok for 3 months at forguson dodge. I believe the airbags should have deployed and I have a hurt back now because I hit the roof in my seatbelt.”

NHTSA complaint #11053519, filed 2017-12, 10,200 miles

“I took my truck in to the local Gmc dealership for the recall fix and they ask if I wanted a diagnosis on the truck for a charge . I said yes cause I had a check engine light on and service air bag light on. Which they both came on a week after I bought it. So the service advisor told me that the belt tensioner is out on the drivers side and that the wiring under the drivers seat is messed up. And they told me some other things that were wrong with my truck that I have since found out were false. But I asked him if the seat belt and working issue is covered under a safety warranty. …”

NHTSA complaint #11324014, filed 2020-05, 118,976 miles

“The service airbag warning light came on and took it into a dealership to figure out why (never been in an accident). The front passenger occupancy sensor is malfunctioning. This would mean in an accident, the airbags would not be deployed because the sensor isn't able to detect if there is a passenger there or not.”

NHTSA complaint #11299766, filed 2020-01, 52,000 miles

“When I was involved in a front impact collision the driver's airbag didn't inflate. The passenger side floorboard had smoke and gas coming from under the dash.”

NHTSA complaint #11172022, filed 2019-01, 90,000 miles

“I had made a appointment to get the recalls resolved at the dealership and I made appointment and everything and they call to confirm thru out the week and then when I showed up they said they couldn’t fix it cause it was a branded title and they didn’t even offer me any other way of fixing it .”
