“In the last 2 months my truck has lost all electric power while making a slow right turn. Voltage drops and I lose power steering. Dealership put a new battery despite there being an active recall for this exact issue. However, my VIN number is not included in the recall. I was able to video it happening. It happens when the vehicle is in motion”

NHTSA complaint #11063240, filed 2018-01, 24,045 miles

“When making a full turn to the left with my 2014 Gmc sierra there is a loud thumping noise that you can also feel in the steering wheel. The problem started periodically and I had a dealership diagnosis. They heard the noise and found no problems. The noise has become more consistent and a third party mechanic believes it to be a steering rack failure. The vehicle can be stationary or moving at parking lot speeds to hear the thump.”

NHTSA complaint #11046187, filed 2017-11, 30,000 miles

“Had the recall for the low maneuver turning issue performed at a dealership when I had my oil changed on august 15, 2017. Less than a week later the issue occurred when turning into the driveway and dealership will not honor my complaint to fix it. The statement I hear is we can't duplicate the problem but I'm telling them it happened. Either the procedure to rectify the recall isn't working or they didn't perform it correctly. I need help.”
