“While traveling on the freeway at approximately 70mph, the speedometer in the vehicle malfunctioned and began steadily decreasing until it reached 0. Luckily I had my GPS to go by for my vehicle speed, otherwise I would have had know clue of how fast or slow I was going. This is a major safety concern and should be a recall on all vehicles regardless of mileage, or does someone have to die first!!”

NHTSA complaint #10547837, filed 2013-10, 104,000 miles

“I was on my way home from work. I ended up getting just a few rain drops so I click my wiper switch one time, it didn't come on. ( puzzled ) so I repeated to get to water off window ,1 click at a time the wipers didn't come on until I was at high. Of course , now they are on high and rain is gone, now I can't get the blades to stop in the off position. Well, I had to pull over I couldn't concentrate on what just happened to my wipers? As well as drive. This happened on july 10, 2019. I've called Gmc a couple times, 1st time they just closed next time I didnt transfer to service dept . …”

NHTSA complaint #11232971, filed 2019-07, 200,000 miles

“I have a 2004 Gmc Yukon. The speedometer is malfunctioning ,it displays incorrect erratic speeds, maxing out at 40 MPH no matter how fast I am driving. Recently on a local freeway I almost had a accident when the traffic slowed ahead and I thought I was going 30 MPH but my actual speed was about 65. It nearly killed me. I have contacted Gmc but have not had answer to this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10172674, filed 2006-11, 59,800 miles

“The speedometer is erratic, usually showing 130 MPH. The oil gauge and gas gauge have now stopped working as well. We can only gauge our speed by using a GPS. It has been happening for about a year and we have over 100,000 miles on the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10345785, filed 2010-07, 100,000 miles

“Fuel gauge reading inaccurately. Needle went way past the full mark into the blank area on the bottom of the gauge. Also, the speedometer was reading 120mph when I was pulling out of my driveway. I stuck at 70mph when I was stopped.”

NHTSA complaint #10366099, filed 2010-11, 74,006 miles
