“Odometer Fraud. The contact owns a 2018 GMC Yukon. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 72,499. After three months, the vehicle experienced an engine failure, and a worker at a third-party automotive parts distributor and recycling center discovered that the original engine's mileage was 160,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11770881, filed 2026-10, 160,000 miles“May 31st 2022-While driving on the highway, I lost control of my power steering. Luckily my husband was with me to drive it back home. June 1st 2022-Took it to a service center and was told it needed a part to fix the problem. We ordered the part, which would not be delivered until may 6th 2022. June 4th 2022- Went to drive, made it a couple blocks down the road when the ABS, electronic stability control, & the engine light came on. So I turned around to take it back home, only now my power steering was completely out, my car would not shift out of first gear. …”
NHTSA complaint #11467589, filed 2022-06“Keeps showing a service trailer brake system, it does it once in a while but when it does it keeps showing the message after pressing dismiss, I was researching online and apparently there is a lot of people dealing with this same issue and looks like it is a defect from factory.”
