“Exterior lights (headlights) had to be replaced twice. As I your recall listing Honda Accord had recall on 1/30/2007 and we were not notified of this action. 1. 11/24/2007--driver side...$13.00 2. 01/12/2007---replaced at n/c. We are wondering why we did not get a recall notification? Also hazard indicator has failed or does not stay lit as designed. Repaired once.”
NHTSA complaint #10219856, filed 2008-03, 101,005 miles“As I was coming to a complete stop, parking, the car sped up involuntarily. I kept pressing on the brakes, but it did not make any difference until the car was stopped by hitting a building. I was told that the dealer inspected the brakes while the car was at the body shop, and did not find anything wrong with them. The car was repaired, and I continued driving it. The involuntary acceleration occurred several times again, but I did not think anything of it because I was not coming to a complete stop, and it adjusted its speed again. …”
NHTSA complaint #10716358, filed 2015-05, 9,119 miles“My car started having issues with the lights. The indoor and outdoor lights would continually fade out and then return and then fade again. Often I had no lights on my dash or radio. My windows stopped working automatically on the right side. We could not lower the window. The locks stopped working occasionally. All of this is something I had a problem with my other Honda as well. It was the same make model and year!! I thought it was just a fluke but when I got this car the same problems started.”
NHTSA complaint #10479204, filed 2012-10, 21,000 miles“The airbag warning light on my 2005 Honda Accord ex-l was illuminated. I took the vehicle to my Honda dealer and they replaced the wiring subharness. This was the same symptom, issue and resolution as NHTSA campaign #06e064000. My vehicle was not in the included in the VIN numbers recalled per that campaign and I feel that Honda didn't resolve the manufacturing defect by the time my vehicle was produced. In other words, I don't think Honda recalled all vehicles affected.”
NHTSA complaint #10320098, filed 2010-03, 72,000 miles“Loss of lights on controls for heating, defrost and all other climate controls. Over a period of several weeks, I had an intermittent loss of backlight to the climate controls for my car. This presents a hazard during nighttime driving as the dome lights must be switched on and it takes longer to find the appropriate control for defrost for the windshield. This is also related to the backlight on the radio, which was a known problem with Honda accords for a very long time. …”
