“The driver of the Honda(my car) was driving straight thru an intersection. The other driver was making a left turn in a yellow light. He didn't see me and hit me on the drivers' side. I was wearing my seat belt which did not lock causing my head to hit the windshield. The airbags did not open either. I was injured on my head and eye as well as other bodily injuries. The vehicle was totaled according to the insurance company.”

NHTSA complaint #10312299, filed 2010-02, 145,000 miles

“Passenger side safety belt failure. The front passenger side safety belt buckle does not stay latched. A forcefull pull by hand will unlatch the belt from the buckle. Honda dealer is replacing it today.”

NHTSA complaint #10058761, filed 2004-02, 36,000 miles

“I was traveling about 25 MPH and was hit head-on by a driver in a ford taurs traveling about 40 MPH in the wrong lane. Both air bags in the tarus deployed and mine, in the 1999 Honda Civic did not deploy. The impact of the crash has caused injuries to my chest from the seatbelt which probably could be expected, and saved my life; and injuries to my neck and back from the forward thrust caused by the head -on impact. But, the air bags should have deployed in the Honda. It is unreasonable to think they would not deploy based on the degree of the impact . …”

NHTSA complaint #765942, filed 2002-08
