“While driving on the freeway at approximately 55 MPH, I heard a bumping noise coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. I pulled over and found the steel belt had separated from the front passenger tire (fisk classic p205/70r15 95s m+s.) immediately noticed was the steel belt separation caused damage to the front passenger tire wheel well. I was advised not to drive the vehicle due to the fact the steel belt separation may have caused damage to other parts of the under body on the vehicle. I had the vehicle towed home.”
NHTSA complaint #11019621, filed 2017-08, 75,250 miles“My 2004 Honda crv has had 4 rims crack at the weld. When Honda was contacted they informed me that this wasn't a widespread problem and was more than likely from abuse. I have seen other issues on the web and wanted to make sure this material defect was noted in your system.”
NHTSA complaint #10277408, filed 2009-07, 59,000 miles“During test drive the vehicle stalled upon braking. Thus leading to 3rd party inspection request. Upon receipt of photos and estimate for safety repairs notice a counter offer was sent to the dealer to which they declined to repair or reduce the vehicle. I have concern that the vehicle will return to the lot and an unknowing buyer will be at risk.”
NHTSA complaint #10967399, filed 2017-03, 115,000 miles“Upon buying this car repairs started immediately starting with full brake system and now both ball joints, power steering return line, timing chain and tensioner. This car is only 13 years old and in my theory these items should have lasted a lot longer.”
NHTSA complaint #11019930, filed 2017-08, 190,992 miles“A lug bolt on the front left wheel broke off of my 2003 crv. Not sure, but it has been within about 30 days. I noticed it a couple of days ago. I am the original owner.”
