“Milage at service 19,338. Tpms alert came on. Check air in all tires, rear tire had metal in the inner sidewall. Replaced one tire and balanced. Returning home milage 19,388. Tpms alert came on after hard reset by dealer. Returned to dealer. Milage 19,424 informed by service manager all four tires needed to be replaced to correct computer TPMS. Really, computer can't calculate tire tread reset on one or two tires? Had to return to dealer after TPMS light came on driving home. Returned to dealer. Milage 19454. Hard reset again by dealer. …”
NHTSA complaint #11375720, filed 2020-11, 19,338 miles“My tire pressure light has gone on 10 plus times in the last year and I think only 3 times my tire was actually low on air. This is a safety feature because you need your tires to drive. The dealer has advised they can’t find an issue with the sensor etc and keeps telling me it’s the tread etc and wants to show me how to recalibrate the system. I worry every time I get into the car that the light is going to go on and hear a binging sound. It’s very nerve wracking because I only have just shy of 34k miles on the car and it continues to happen. …”
NHTSA complaint #11469014, filed 2022-06“The TPMS, a federally mandated safety system, has a persistent and intermittent communication fault, causing the warning lamp to remain illuminated. This renders the critical safety system inoperable, preventing notification of dangerously low tire pressure and placing vehicle occupants at risk. The fault first appeared since April 2025 after the vehicle required a jump start. Independent Diagnosis: An ASE-certified independent service center confirmed the persistent TPMS communication code. …”
NHTSA complaint #11704529, filed 2025-12“The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. While the contact's husband was driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle turned left instead of right. As a result, the contact's vehicle crashed into another vehicle. A police report was not filed. The contact's husband sustained injuries that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was damaged, but was not towed. Prior to the crash, the contact called an unknown dealer about the steering failure and was informed that it was not a life or death situation. The dealer stated that they would call the contact back. The contact was not called back. …”
