“I was driving on the freeway at 60 MPH. Traffic was flowing. Suddenly, with nothing in front of me, the car applies the break and I came down immediately to 30 MPH. It was terrifying and luckily no one slammed into me.”
NHTSA complaint #11396715, filed 2021-02, 6,000 miles“In car mounted screen for radio etc randomly changes while driving. From brightness off and on and darker to volume changing on its own. Only way to stop it (sometimes) is to turn off and turn back on the vehicle. Blind spot sensors also go out randomly sometimes because of weather other times (rarely, but still happened) randomly while driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11405906, filed 2021-04, 38,700 miles“All of these warning indicator messages pop up on dash: electric parking brake problem, tire pressure monitor problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem, power steering system problem, hill assist etc. My battery was changed and my system was checked but these lights still come on frequently. This has been going on for over a year.”
NHTSA complaint #11572453, filed 2024-02“I have asked questions everytime I have it in but Honda does not seem to have an answer. 1. When in cruise the car will randomly brake when nothing is in sight 2. My blind spot monitors seem only intermittently notice anyone on my passanger side of vihicle”
NHTSA complaint #11455512, filed 2022-03“I’m writing to report a recurring and increasingly dangerous issue with the CMBS (Collision Mitigation Braking System) in my vehicle. The problem began shortly after I purchased the car. The system would intermittently flash the word “BRAKE” and apply the brakes without any apparent reason. Initially, this was more of an annoyance, but it has since escalated into a serious safety concern. Most recently, while driving through an intersection with no vehicles in front or behind me, the system suddenly applied the brakes with significant force. …”
