“Took my 2026 Honda CRV Touring Sport Hybrid through the car wash exactly one month and one day after purchasing. Upon leaving, I noticed a perfect horizontal crack the length of the passenger side mirror. I was later told this was a known issue due to extreme temperature changes (low temperatures) and to report it here.”

NHTSA complaint #11719593, filed 2026-02

“Driving on I-69 with all adaptive systems on including cruise control set at 65 miles per hour. The car had slowed to about 60 due to ahead car. . It started raining rather hard, a message said the Honda emblem was dirty and it automatically disabled all adaptive systems leaving the car moving at about 60 miles per hour without warning. I fortunately manually braked to avoid a rear collision. This disabling procedure happens to fast to be safe in traffic or at higher speeds.”

NHTSA complaint #11771856, filed 2026-10

“My 2026 Honda CR-V has a major design vulnerability. I purchased this vehicle on 8/22/2026. On 10/1/2026 my vehicle was vandalized in the parking lot where I work. In a matter of seconds, without any special tools, a thief pried the front logo off the vehicle and stole the radar sensor/module which directly disables Honda sensing safety systems (including collision mitigation braking and adaptive cruise control) which causes cascading dashboard error lights (generating systematic driver distractions). …”

NHTSA complaint #11768745, filed 2026-10

“I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2026 Honda CR-V. The front-mounted sensor used for advanced driver-assistance systems (including lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking) is positioned in a way that makes it easily accessible and vulnerable to theft. My vehicle’s sensor was stolen, which immediately disabled critical safety features such as collision mitigation braking and lane assistance. While the vehicle may still be drivable, the loss of these systems significantly reduces safety and increases the risk of an accident. This does not appear to be an isolated incident. …”

NHTSA complaint #11735030, filed 2026-05

“Honda emblem & sensor stollen very easily from vehicle, took the thief seconds to take off. All features disabled! Something this important & vital to the vehicle should not be that easily accessible to a thief! In researching, this issue has been reported on models in previous years! This is an extreme safety issue & should have been fixed & rectified with the new 2026 models. Will be reporting to all outlets!”
